In
Austria, Sriwork has two starch factories which
can make starches and special starch products from
maize and potatoes. The capacity of the maize starch
factory is 1,000 tones of maize a day or 350,000
tonnes of maize a year. Organic products and guaranteed
GM-free products have an important place in our
starch line. For over a decade, Sriwork have been
processing organically grown potatoes and maize
into organic starches, organic saccharification
products and organic long-life potato products (potato
flakes and dried potatoes) in our factories. Those
products are used throughout the food and beverage
industries.
Above all, they are to be found in fruit preparations,
confectionery, baby food, baked products and delicatessen
goods. Sriwork also makes household products like
mashed potato and dumpling mixes for major European
manufacturers of branded products. Roughly 90 per
cent of our organic starch products are exported
(EU, Switzerland, North America and Southeast Asia).Our
factories are certified organic facilities in conformity
with Council Regulation (EEC).Sriwork has been making
maize-based and waxy maize-based GM-free maize starch
products since 1990s. They are tested in a PCR (polymerase
chain reaction) laboratory installed at our factories.
Testing covers the entire production process from
seed selection, planting and harvesting to processing.
Our factories manufactures native starches, pregelatinized
starches, maltodextrin and dried glucose syrups
for use among other things in blancmanges, soups
and sauces, dairy foods for infants and baby foods
in jars, spice mixtures and fruit and vegetable
powders.
